The Insane Space Hunter v3.5(circa BOTP3) These stats are numbered version 3.5 because of the advent of my loadout stats for the MIFF Space Hunter Game, which came out slightly before BOTP3. These stats are based on the Space Hunter game stats, so thus the version number. Description: The Hunter is, as far as anyone can tell, a rather inane weirdo that knows his way around a brouhaha wearing a battlesuit not entirely unlike that of Samus Aran. While he once had an arm-mounted cannon, he later abandoned it in favor of a large-caliber blaster in a low-slung hip holster. Here's a snapshot of our hero:
How much more descriptive can I get? Physical Traits: Height: 5' 7.5" Home/Place of origin: Earth. He hasn't been there since he quit professional wrestling, but it's his... 'home.' Transportation or lack thereof: I just love that wording. Heh heh. Anyway, he's got an old beat-up YT-1300 light freighter (think Millenium Falcon) named the Quest of Insanity. It flies, it can blow stuff up... sort of... though it's never been used for that. The oly thing it's ever been used for is playing polka music really loudly... Personality traits/Motive: Urk... heh... um... he's INSANE, that's
for sure... um... er... he's never really had a MOTIVE, per se, but for
this battle, he feels a little guilty that he brought an Amnesiac named
Bubba The Monkey into the battle that blasted DamnGlitch with a shotgun
and proceeded to accomplish absolutely nothing after that; he kinda wants
to give The Glitch a hand with getting around to make up for it. there's
a motive. Sure. Pre-existing alliances/grudges: Hmmm... who's left? The Hunter worked with SimBen (THAT ended abruptly), Sword Bearer (who's gone off elsewhere), Wave Man a bit (that's over, too), Sasuke (he's not here, either), Kejardon (whatever happened to him?)... I can't think of anybody he's allied with that's still in the Battle, or, for that matter, anybody he's NOT allied with. Okay, none. Abilities: Fighting Style Slot (Primary): The Hunter doesn't have a set style, to a point. he used to be a professional wrestler, but he's also a cyborg designed to kill anything and everything it needs to in the most effective (or least efficient, depending on the gun) manner possible, a galactic bounty hunter, and several other things. Really, it ends up being a lot of odd stances he never uses (except to show somebody else some stupid French move), the basic punches, kicks, counters and throws of several major martial arts and professional wrestling, and an expertise with just about any weapon he happens to pick up. Fighting Style Slot (Free Slot #1): The Hunter has a computer
aboard his ship that knows a lot more than it needs to. As such, it comprehends
the meaning of several types of existence, the locations of many secret
treasures of the galaxy, and how to defeat any chess master player in less
than sixteen moves. However, the Hunter still beats it due to the randomly
insane way he plays chess. Anyway, as for the computer, it has an enormous
repository beneath the deck plating of the Hunter's YT-1300 where the smuggling
compartments used to be. The Hunter and Kejardon installed the equipment
there at one point, because they never used the smuggling compartments and
the computer was asking for more memory. This it now has. Attack Slot (Primary): The Hunter has the afore-mentioned large-caliber
blaster in a low-slung hip holster (that's really molded into the leg of
his armor, it just GIVES the appearance of being low-slung). It doesn't
have infinite ammo, just near-infinite. Occassionally, he forgets to recharge
it, and THEN he's in trouble, but usually, it doesn't run out of juice unless
there are extenuating circumstances. For example, if somebody ejected the
power pack or simply sapped all electronic equipment in the room of its
charge, it would become useless. Attack Slot (Free Slot #2): The Hunter, having abandoned his previously used arm cannon with its rocket-launching ability, now carries a repeating rocket launcher on his back (attached to the suit in a special slot his computer told him how to build). The launcher carries fifteen rockets, which are of the type that Samus Aran uses. They can be fired very rapidly (about 3 rockets a second), but he only has 15 shots unless he restocks at his ship or wherever he can find more rockets. This rocket launcher looks something like a bazooka, incidentally. Defensive Slot (Primary): The Hunter has sturdy battle armor like that of Samus Aran. It can take a beating, but only to a point... oh, geez, you know what armor does. Defensive Slot (Free Slot #3): I didn't know whether to put this in an attack slot or defense slot (or fighting style slot), but here it is: The Hunter has a duranium-plated cranium, thanks to a dragon's tail and a kindly robot master. dab and Sasuke. Anyway, it's virtually indestructible; we found this out when a sword pierced his helmet in a single thrust and stopped short once it struck the Hunter's skull. This invincible head makes a good weapon, which the Hunter likes using (diving off of this and that), but I suppose that's really under fighting style in the first place. Under the pro wrestling part. I'll just leave it at that. ??? Slot (Free Slot #4): The Hunter has in his posession a Black
Hole gravi-board that's his favorite method of transportation when he's
not using his ship. It basically repels magnetic fields (such as those of
planets) with some design element I've forgotten, allowing the user to 'float'
on the gravitic threshold of a planet, star, or other object with gravity
(black holes, dark matter, etc.) and surf. This is better explained on my
Insane Space Hunter site under the Loadout/Technical Information section...
here.
