The Asylum Board is no more. I have decided to consolidate all the forums he hosts into one big-assed forum, so the ye olde Asylum board is now closed. Please don't let this turn you away, the new board is just as user friendly as the old. New forums for RP-ing, BOTP, MIFF, and your most of your favorites are there! Just note, the guidelines here still apply to the new board." -NekoOuterverse The board is not language-filtered.Other than the fact that a little colorful language never hurt anybody, I myself have been known to employ various "less-than-polite" words from time to time. While this means that strong language is allowed and that the casual obscenity won't get you kicked off the board, it does NOT mean that you should go overboard. Try to keep obscenities out of the subject lines, and keep everything else down to a steady roar, okay? Keep topics on-topic.Any tests of your signature and/or tag or messages pertaining to visiting sites other than the Asylum (or something related to the subject at hand, such as a review of games in the PRESS START forum) belong in the Spam forum, and will end up there regardless of where they are initially posted. We can do that. Likewise, try to keep the subjects of discussions to what the forum is about--anime in Animanga Station, video game stuff in PRESS START, that sort of thing. If you want to talk about nothing in particular, that's what the Commons are for. Is for. Are... uh... never mind. Stupid plural names for singular objects. The board is moderated, but for God's sake, we're not superhuman web-bots.Every post will be read by somebody on staff and moderated appropriately, but we're not on the board 24/7. We do have other things to do; it's not like I haven't spent any time working on the Asylum site instead of the board. Or, you know, my secret double life as an employee of a company and college student. In other words, something might escape our eye for a time, possibly something "wholly and totally offensive." It's happened before. We'll deal with it as soon as we run across it, but there's no such thing as a five-minute response time when we won't even be on the board until the following day. Really, what I mean here is that the Asylum, Black-Blade.net, and any and all Asylum moderators and administrators are not responsible for any material contained within posts. We'll remove, edit, or otherwise change anything we think necessitates such an act, as it's our job and responsibility as the overseers of this operation, which means that nobody else will. Not any angry mothers mailing me about how her son was looking at horrible things or reading horrible rants on my evil message board, not anybody who thinks that we should keep swearing off the board, nobody. We're just in this to talk about whatever we want and to have a good time doing it. This is the Asylum, my show. If you don't like it, then get your own damn show. Don't talk about religion in DamnGlitch's forums. He has specifically made a rule against religious discussion in his forums, which is his prerogative as the forums' creator and patron saint. Any talk of such things in forums he moderates will get you in some serious trouble, and that's the rules. It's his call, and he just doesn't want to allow the opening of that particular can of worms in his area. Don't want to detract from the effectiveness of what he's laid down, but (on-topic) religious discussion is allowed in The Commons, though within reasonable limits. Don't get too wild and wacky. :) Read announcements. Really. Read announcements. For your convenience, all announcements made by moderators, administrators, & me are posted in the Announcement Board forum. Check there whenever something new is in there. That's what it's for. Just note only Staff can post new topics, but ANYONE can reply to them.
These rules are subject to change at any time, though I'll post notices on the Asylum regarding any and all updates to them. I'm funny like that. Have a nice day!
